COMMUNITY MEETING

Thank you to the 67 residents who turned out to the Community Meeting on 23rd November

2023.  This was an important meeting to enable the Community to move forward with regards

to the dissolution of the Community Council.  At the meeting a unanimous vote was taken to

hold a Community Governance Poll.  Councillors will now liaise with Newport City Council to

arrange a date within the timescales stipulated by legislation. Minutes of meeting

IMPORTENT MESSAGE FOR USERS OF THE PLAY PARK AT LONGLANDS LANE

It is with deep regret that Council has to inform you of their decision to close the play park on

Longlands Lane with immediate effect, due to health & safety issues.  For your own safety and

that of your children please do not use any of the play equipment.  The Council will now look in

to the finances required to replace and refurbish the play park as soon as it is able.  Councillors

sincerely regret this decision, and apologise for any inconvenience caused.  They would take this

opportunity to advise you that the nearest council operated play park is run by Magor with Undy

Town Council adjacent to Magor Primary School, off Sycamore Terrace.

FREE TREES

The Council still has a few free trees left, if any children would like to plant one.  If all the trees

are not taken, then Council will offer the trees up to all residents.  Please email the clerk with an

expression of interest before the end of November 2023. redwickcc@outlook.com
