Our Councillors

The present day Community Council consists of five Councillors assisted by the Clerk.

The present Chair is Cllr  Kath James, with Cllr Rhys Waters as Vice Chair .

Councillors and staff are required to undertake basic training to assist them in fulfilling their role in the community.  The Council have a Training Plan, and keep a Record of Training undertaken.

Kathryn James

Kathryn has lived and farmed in Redwick for the past 31 years.  She is married to Tom and they have three children.  Kath attends St Thomas' Church Redwick and is also Secretary of Redwick Village Hall Committtee.

Kathryn is the current Chair of the Community Council and represents the Council on the Redwick Village Hall committee 

Mair Duthie

Mair Duthie has lived in Redwick for the past 38 years. She has served on the Community Council for the past 16 years replacing Mr Herbert James. Mair married her late husband Roy in 1974 and they moved to Redwick House, Redwick in 1982. They farmed in Redwick for 17 years before retiring to Deep Lake Cottage.  Mair has three children and four grandchildren.  Mair is an active member of St Thomas’ Church, Redwick, and represents the Council on the 

Redwick Village Hall Committee and the Redwick History Group.  

Elwyn Jarrett 

Elwyn has lived in Redwick for 7 years.  He is a senior project manager for Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Company of Japan.  Elwyn enjoys game fishing and rugby. 

Elwyn represents the Council on the Village Hall Committee, of which he is chair.

Rhys Waters 

Rhys was born in to a farming family in Redwick and is the youngest member of the Council.  At the Annual Meeting in May 2023 he was elected Vice Chair.  

Jon Williams 

Jon has lived in the village for 14 years on the family dairy farm.  He is married and has three children.

Beverly Cawley

The Clerk and Financial Officer is Beverly Cawley. Beverly commenced her role as Clerk in February 2023 and has 13 years experience as a clerk within the local government sector.  The Clerk and Financial Officer provides advice and administrative support, and takes action to implement council decisions, and is the council's Proper Officer of the council in law.
